Randolph, VT – Safe and Seen Halloween is a Randolph/Brookfield/Braintree community event sponsored by the White River Valley Chamber of Commerce and Randolph Area Community Development Corporation. This event partnership began in 2014, with the goal of creating a safe event for kids centered around the downtown area.

Children and their parents are invited to Trick or Treat at the participating downtown merchants.  The Safe and Seen Event begins at 4:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm at locations throughout the downtown. Some businesses are starting earlier, including Kimball Library, which begins their festivities at 2 pm.

A Day of the Dead Altar organized by the White River Craft Center will be set up in the Gazebo, along with other Halloween tables by event sponsors around Gazebo Park and at downtown businesses. WCVR will be broadcasting live at the event and providing music!  Please remember to wear bright or reflective clothes and stay on the sidewalks, as well as paying attention to our teams of crossing guards. Safe and Seen Halloween has become a wonderful tradition in our area, and all our sponsors and volunteers are greatly appreciated.

Rain or shine. The rain plan is to have a tent in the Rite Aid parking lot with the Fire Truck. Other businesses who come downtown to be part of the event will set up indoors at 15 North Main (joining Third Branch Pottery, VT Heritage Real Estate, Windy Lane Bakery, and Arc & Curve) or at 10 South Main at Speaking Volumes’ large front porch and entry area (next to Dunkin Donuts/TenneyBrook).

We also extend our gratitude to the merchants and organizations who hand out candy or donate supplies. In addition to treats, we will also be handing out toothbrushes and dental supplies thanks to Dr. Chris Wilson and Delta Dental.

Parking is available downtown at municipal lots located on South Pleasant Street and next to the post office on Salisbury Street. So please park the car and join in the fun. It promises to be another memorable event for local children and parents. Come downtown and spend some quality time with your children and your neighbors!
